Simply replace your old fireplace grate with the Cozy Grate Heater, plug in the 9' power cord and build a fire. Within minutes the firebox will reach 110° and begin to blow heat from the thermostatically controlled blower. Once your firebox temperature reaches 90°, the blower turns off automatically.

The versatile unit can be used with or without a glass door. If used with a glass door, the door sits on top of the bar and would be elevated 1 3/8" high. The grate measures 8" high while the log basket measures 7 1/2" deep. Designed for masonry fireplaces, not intended for zero-clearance fireplaces.

Note: The Cozy Grate heater should run on high for 10-15 minutes, on initial start up. This will add longevity to the life of the motor.

In the case of a power outage you will need to remove the unit from your fireplace before lighting a fire.

Note: Pictured with optional Brass Trim Bar. All units have a 29 1/4" wide x 2" deep front rail and include black extenders that provide a maximum front rail width of 51 1/4". Your glass door (if applicable) sits on top of the front rail and is elevated 1 3/8".

Oiling a Cozy Grate Heater

On the side of the blower box, bend back the heat shield so you can access the two screws on the back. There is also one screw on the front side of the cover. ALL must come out. Inside, there are two nuts, these hold the motor to the motor housing. Remove the nuts. The fan blades will also come out with the motor so you can clean them as well. There will be two little oil holes, one on each end of the motor.You can use any type of light machine oil or 3-in-1.

Dont let the heat go up your chimney.

The 22" Cozy Grate Fireplace Heater is an outstanding product. This has been one of the best home investments that I have made. It is easy to install. It has heated the whole floor of a 3 bedroom house and it gets so warm in the living room that you have to turn the fireplace heater down.This is a great way to save on your heating bill. This heater is well built, quiet when it runs and is worth every penny.

I love my COZY GRATE !!!! It heats the entire 2200 square foot house... I am using 1/2 the wood and getting double the heat output...

This thing is AWESOME! First of all, Northline Express shipped the Cozy Grate Heater in about 3 days. Installation took about 30 minutes TOTAL. The hardest part was cutting the left and right extension pieces to fit the exisitng width of the glass doors.

Operation is simple. Plug it in and forget about it! I built my first fire on the grate, and as expected, had a little smoke coming out of the unit for the first few minutes while it burned off the lubrication and stuff from manufacturing. The blower kicked on after about 5-10 minutes after the fire got going. Man was it blowing nice! Very quiet for the amount of air it moves.

The only issue I had was that the brick and wood floor just in front of the exit vent of the blower got VERY hot. I fxed this by jamming a piece of metal flashing under the heater and bending it up slightly so that the air flows up and into the room instead of just across the floor.

I've been building fires practically every nigt since I got the blower. It heats the whole house, practically!

Love it, love it, love it! Added three degrees to the entire house. I have a 1000 square ft ranch, and I use the vent fan from the central air to circulat the warm air throughout thehouse. There's nothing like a real fire, as long as it's in the fireplace!
