metal material is very thin, not as thick as previous fire pits i have purchased. Also it rusts very, very easily. i do not let it sit in the rain, just got overnight dew for a few nights and now eveything is rusting already. I live in Florida I love burning a fire in the fall and winter in my backyard. The design is great but I doubt this will even last a year. For the price of this pit I would have expected better materials and longer sustainability.
