The Grate's Great!

Having resisted purchasing a grate for the last 30 years, I finally gave in to this product. It offered substance and style at a great price, and frankly, no one ever knows how something is going to look or fit, no matter how many times you turn the picture upside down or take a measurement. This is in part the beauty of this grate in that it can be expanded or contracted, and rotated to fit your preference for log positioning and placement. I could not be more satisfied. It will last another 30 years and longer.

Best fireplace grate made

This isn't the first Sampson grating we've bought. The first lasted the better part of 30 years before finally burning through in the middle. Cheaper grates last less than 30% of that, so a Sampson is economical if prorated over its lifespan. We bought a larger one this time and love it. This is likely the last one we'll ever buy. Assembly is easy and precise, and the grate is about as solid as a cast iron grate can be. Well worth the price.
