Good rods with the 6" heavy duty poly brush
Used them with the 6" poly brush. Worked well. Got coated with creosote so use gloves you can throw away or use exclusively for cleaning chimney.

sturdy
1st time I ever cleaned a chimney. After considering alternatives, I chose the heavier rod and after using think it will provide a much longer life than thinner rods. Products more than paid for themselves after first use. (internet search estimate $79-200 each cleaning) Easiest money I ever made. Now I own the stuff and the next one is free.

Well worth the purchase
These rods are great! Have just enough flexability to clean from bottom up in a staright pipe yet rigid enough to push the entire length without bending! Wonderful purchase!

I purchased these because the ones I bought at HD were too flexible and would not allow me to exert full force to get the brush down. When i got these i was able to push the brush down no problem. They did fray a little when rubbed, but no big deal. Highly recommended for long straight runs. I have a flexible metal liner and use a poly brush.

A little stiffer than I would like

Very good product and highly recommended. The fiberglass material did fray a bit when rubbing against the chimney liner - so wear gloves.

Worked great and sturdy connections, well worth buying the rods and brush and doing it myself each year for a fraction of paying someone to come out

I purchased rods and a brush. Both items worked well. I would purchase from Northline Express again.

The rods are great, I have made use of the rods for other home projects, such as fishing electric wires in the attic. Also for extending a light in a crawlspace.

Easy to assemble and worked great. Quality appears to be excellent for the homeowner who wants to clean his or her own chimney.

Could be a little stiffer. Hooked 6 of them together and there was a good bit of deflection when pushing it down the chimney.

Other than ordering two lengths too many these worked well . . . swept my pipe from below . . . just a little bit of flex but not too much to allow the brush and rods to go cleanly and easily to the top.

These rods are flexible enough to get into the chimney from bottom and yet strong enough not to break.

They worked great, but be careful not to allow the threaded end to hit anything hard! Made of very soft aluminum, once damaged, becomes difficult to thread into the next one. we had to file the threads back into shape on one we damaged. An additional product, we would buy if available, would be a kind of hard steel pointed attachement Our chimney was so dirty that the soot became clogged at the seam of each 2 foot clay inner section, which stopped the brush dead. We used the threaded end the first time to break the clog which damaged the threads. To clear the next section we used the female end.

These are great cleaning rods! Flexible enough to handle easily, but stiff enough to do a top-down cleaning. I'm very pleased

Thank you for great service. The brushes and rods all arrived very quickly, ordered Saturday, shipped Monday, arrived Thursday. I used them Friday. The brushes and rods are top quality and cleaned the chimneys very well. It was a pleasure calling your office to check what I needed, the help and advice was exactly what I needed. Also your web site was very clear and helpful. Thank you!
