The DuraTech Wall Thimble adjusts from a minimum of 4" to a maximum of 10", and fits between standard wall studs. To accommodate thicker walls, the telescoping pieces can be separated, and a field-fabricated extension installed. The interior trim ring is painted black. The Thimble must be installed with DuraTech Chimney pipe horizontally through the wall and extend 6" into the room beyond the interior wall.

DuraTech is a double-wall, all-fuel chimney system for use with wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, ranges, water heaters, or other appliances fueled by wood, oil, coal, or gas, and zero-clearance fireplaces that are factory-built.

With a Thermal Tech blanket insulation encased between duel walls, DuraTech offers superior safety and performance. It keeps the outer wall cool while ensuring high flue gas temperatures for optimum draft performance. The inner wall is 25% thicker than competitive chimneys, for an extra margin of safety. Designed for normal, continuous operation at 1000?F flue gas temperatures, DuraTech is subjected to rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400?F, plus three ten minute chimney fire tests at 2100?F.

    • will this work in a doublewide home through the wall with interior drywall and exterior vinyl siding
    • You will want to use Duraplus triple wall pipe and the components when installing chimney pipe in a mobile home. You should use DVL double wall stove pipe inside the house from the appliance to the wall.

    • Will this allow my 6 inch black pipe to go into it and then go up the outside of my bunk house without adapters?
    • Thank you for your question. When going through a wall and using a thimble you will want to use the class a pipe Duratech. This pipe comes into the room and then you can use a connector to attach this class pipe to your stove pipe. Then outside you can connect the tee to run the pipe vertical.
