Did the job it was expected to do. No more back drafts, has improved the draw up the chimney. Opening was to big for the flue size after a flue liner was installed and this minor investment corrected the problem. Easy to install.

Great product
This product did the job for our shallow, 1730's fireplace. The metal is not shiny as it appears in the picture, more powder coated, which I prefer. Looks great, high quality and less $ than other products advertised on the web.

I just started renting a home with a beautiful fireplace. However, I quickly realized a problem. Smoke quickly filled the cabin and I couldn't enjoy a nice fire anymore. Well, from researching online, I found the fireplace opening was a bit big in relation to the flew. So I bought this 6 Smoke Guard and on first try - BAM! No More Smoke in the cabin. I kid you not! Didn't want to fork out $50, but I'm glad I did because now I'm enjoying fires nightly!

The smoke guard is exactly as described and is working perfectly. Our problem was the fire smoking back into the room. We raised the grate but it wasn't enough on it's own to solve the problem. We then fitted the guard and we no longer have smoke entering the room. The guard was very easy to assemble and took approximately 15 minutes and the extendable seem is not noticeable I bought the matt black color.

This does just what it advertises. Instructions were pretty easy to follow. I had it installed and a fire blazing within the hour. Advice I found helpfuluse Aluminum foil and masking tape to create your own smoke guard until you know the correct size to order.

The smoke guard was excellent. It worked perfectly and solved all our smoke problems. We were having alot of smoke coming back in our house and now there is none! Great product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

We had terrible back flow of smoke into home when burning wood. Thought we were going to have to extend chimney . Decided to try this first... Worked like a charm and my husband talks about it every night since we began using it. Thanks for such a life saver - we can enjoy our wood burning fireplace !!!

This thing is magic! We have suffered with smoke occasionally rolling out of the top of our fireplace opening for years. I feel foolish that I didn't buy such an easy fix long ago. I installed it in about 10 minutes, and it has completely eliminated the problem!

It was easy to install and we have no more smoke pouring into the room. There is some overlapping parts, so it isn't seamless, but it works!
