Questions on 6'' SuperPro Wall Support Galvanized
- From James Canavan at 10/23/12 8:41 PM
- I need to come away from the house to miss a 12" overhang......this "T" support does not appear to allow that?
Jim - The brackets for the Tee Support are designed to maintain a 2" clearance to combustibles so what you do is to install it in this manner and go up the wall to where you need to get around the eve and then use offset elbows to get around the overhang. If you prefer a straight up installation with no offsets you would need to either a) extend the Tee Brackets and Wall Straps away from the wall with some sort of block (not recommended), or b) cut away your overhang to allow the pipe to pass through. It is easiest to use the elbow offsets although Selkirk says to never use offsets on an outside chimney. I believe the reason for this is that the weight of the chimney is not supported well when offsets are used. Here's a link to the installation instructions, see pages 7 through 11; Installation Instructions

- i have pipe that is 14 yre old.at the very bottem at this tee is a clean out and it rusted out and the clean out plug and bottem of fell out. this looks just like what i have .i need to replace clean out what piece do i need?it looks just like this but with a plug in the bottem. there is no extra foot below
- Thank you for your question. If the tee is single wall stove pipe, just about any brand will work with it. Single wall can normally work with other single wall pieces. If it is double wall stove pipe or class a pipe chimney pipe, these are make and model specific items. There should be a metal tag on the pipe showing who is the make and what model number it is. Then we can look at replacing the same part to assure the pieces will fit together properly.
