The HomeSaver Pro Cap is a universal replacement for deteriorating, standard rain cap/spark arrestors that come with factory built chimney systems. The tight, friction-fit installation allows this cap to slip down securely inside the chimney. It is designed to fit virtually any brand of factory-built chimney. Some brands will differ in their inner dimensions by a few fractions of an inch.

The HomeSaver Pro Cap is constructed of 304 stainless steel and a steel mesh cage to protect your home and chimney against harsh weather conditions and animal invasion. This particular cap is factory built for solid-pack, sealed end chimneys.

8" Air-insulated Pro Cap is also available.

Poor

The diameter was supposed to be 8". That's exactly what the item needed to be to fit over my pipe. It wasn't 8", it was 7 and a half inches which made me do a lot of cutting and configuring which made a real crappy job. If we state 8" diameter, it MUST BE 8"!!!! Price was good, but the product fell far short. Sorry.

Robert's Comments; This cap is made to fit inside an 8" chimney pipe which of course needs to be a bit less than 8". Once you add a bit of creosote to the chimney the cap also needs to come off.

Northline was an excellent company to order from!! The product though should have a higher screen height area to allow smoke to vent quicker/easier. Also once placed in the chimney...it snaps in too tightly. Cannot be removed. Would be nice to remove it for cleaning.

    • My chimney pipe has an 8"inside diameter and a 9 3/4" outside diameter. will this work?
    • Thank you for your question. The chimney pipe is make and model specific. Their connections vary from brand to brand. To assure we get the correct pipe for you we will need to know what current brand you have and what model pipe.
