The first register arrived damaged and was quickly and painlessly replaced by Northline Express.
The register is attractive and solid, but the louvres are very, very difficult to open. I've lubricated the joints and disassembled and re-assembled the register, but I have not been able to figure out how to make the louvres open and close more smoothly.
What this means is that we do not open or close them very often.
