Double Wall Black Pipe is used from the top of the woodstove or freestanding fireplace to the bottom of the ceiling
or wall where it will connect to class-A chimney pipe
or a masonry chimney. Double wall stove pipe is typically used in
close clearance installations and mobile home installations.
Clearances are 6" to a combustible wall and 8" from a combustible
ceiling. Follow manufacturer recommendations whenever
applicable. Never use a chimney that is smaller in diameter than the
flue size of the appliance it is being connected to. Never use stove pipe in place of a class A chimney system.
