Overview

Burn efficiently, protect your woodstove and burn safer! The Chimgard Stovepipe Thermometer informs you which range you are burning in. So you can keep your stove burning at a safe flue temperature, with just a quick glance at the thermometer. When the front glass gets black the thermometer will read in the Too Cool range. When the carbon on the glass dissappears it indicates that the burn range is spot on. And the Too Hot range is key for monitoring high temps and prolonging the life of your burner.

Details

This stovepipe thermometer is a must for your wood burning fireplace. The ChimGard attaches to your stovepipe magnetically so you can begin using right away. Its rugged welded construction and stay-cool fold-up handle makes the ChimGard long lasting and convenient. The ChimGard stovepipe thermometer will help in many ways.

First, by monitoring your temperature range, you can make your fires last longer, which saves on reloading. Cut down on chimney cleanings by burning wood completely in the best operation range, avoiding chimney fires by keeping from overheating. Lastly, it will help you extend the life of catalytic combustors by letting you know when you are overheating the fireplace.

The ChimGard Stovepipe Thermometer sets the standard for the industry. It combines durable genuine porcelain enamel with yellow, orange & red zones clearly indicated on its brown case - shows safe flue temperatures at a glance. Temperatures up to 900° Fahrenheit (500° Centigrade). ChimGard's rugged steel case ensures long life.

For most accurate readings its recommended to place the thermometer on the stove pipe at least 12'' above the stove top.

Note: This item is made in the USA.

It was great. I will never be without one again. It makes it much simpler to regulate the temperature inside our outfitter's tent. I don't know how we ever got along without it. Thanks!

Good Product!! We use in on our Cookstove on the top surface. Reading look good numbers showing temperature could be a bit larger for us seniors but other than that, no problems.

My brother said this was the best Christmas gift he ever received. He loves watching it and critiques his fire accordingly, which results in a much safer and more efficient fire.
EXCELLENT!

I had one of these almost 30yrs ago and loved it. We lost it when we moved, so I was very pleased to find another one recently at Northline. It works reliably, just like the first one. Service was great. I would recommend Northline and this model ChimGard to anyone! A must-have for woodstoves.

I purchased this product to monitor my chimney on my wood stove in my outfitter tent and it works great. Now I can easily keep an eye on the stove pipe temperature. In an outfitter tent, the stove pipe goes through a high temp rubber gasket in the roof which can take temperatures up to 700 degrees before melting. This product is a great solution and allows you to put your mind at ease knowing the temperature of the pipe.
