My wife and I just recently purchased a new home in the Denver, Co area. We were told by our home inspector a chimney cap was strongly recommended to keep the local critters and leaves/debris out of our chimney. Made perfect sense to me so with dimensions of the chimney flu in hand off I went to Home Depot for my Flue cap. Well, after two Home Depot stores and one Lowes store I had ZERO luck finding what I needed. Frustrated, knowing this was turning out to be another long drawn out chore I headed straight for the internet.
Searching for local chimney companies in the Denver area for what seemed to be several hours turned up nothing but a huge headache!
I wanted something fast, something that fit and knowing I was going to have to rely on a picture and description from an internet site I was already discouraged..
Luckily I stumbled across Northline Express!!!
First off, a super user friendly website with very descriptive details of what you're about to purchase. Second, I had VARIETY to choose from!! Not only did they have the RARE dimensions that I was seeking but they had different styles and qualities to choose from.
Happy to FINALLY find what I was looking for I clicked on the submit button and a shorts later my package arrived! :
Now for the install...
There are four simple set screws on each corner to fasten the flue to the chimney. All you need to bring up to the roof is ONE tool!
The product fit perfect and most of all it's VERY secure and NO worries about the wind taking this to Kansas..
Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with not only the price, but the selection and product quality as well..

- My flue is 14 x 14 inches square. How do I make the 15x15 fit securely?
- This chimney cap fits outside flue tile dimension: 13 3/4 x 13 3/4 to 16 x 16 so it will work well for you. The installation is simple. All you do is place the cap over your flue liner and tighten the 4 screws....Robert
