I have been using this product for several years now. It definitely lowers the creosote levels that remain in the chimney. Cuts back the amount of creasote generated on chimney walls by a huge amount. When chimney sweeping annually, it is very easy to get the remaining creosote off the chimney walls since they are flakes and come right off.

Since I began using this product, had difficulty finding it in stores/having it ordered and save for me. Took the 'high road' and went on line and ordered. Cost of shipping far outweighs finding a store and saves time and gas. Have an outside wood furnace and it is important to keep heat flowing especially during extreme cold weather here in the northeast. Excellent product.

wow - lots of ashes came out of my chimney pipe so there must have been a fair amount of creosote. It's easy to use, just dump it on hot coals.

I have only used this product for a few weeks, but already I have noticed a reduction in the creosote tendrils hanging from my chimney cap. Rain and wind did not remove them, so I guess this product is doing its job. It is very convenient to use and worth the price.

we use 2 scoops just about every time we make a fire and we have never had to clean our chimney the creosote turns into a crystal and there is never any build-up we checked our stack and this is what we discovered! We're so lucky to have found this product and have recommended it to family & friends.

this stuff is AWESOME! We use it a little more than they advise and as a result, every summer when my husband goes on the roof to look down the stack it's so clean that there is no creosote build-up at all. Makes it easier on him!

- can you use this on a pellet stove, or what would you recommend for use to clean creosote from a pellet stove.
- Deb, No this is not recommended for pellet stoves. You will want to get the Liquid Creosote Remover 5RU-97L. You will spray it on the pellets and allow to dry then you can start your fire.

- We have a Hawken Wood Boiler, burn seasoned wood only and still have to clean it out often to keep the creosote build-up at bay. Will this stuff work on our outside wood boiler? You do not mention that this product will work with an outside wood furnace. Is it available in the Mid-coast area in Maine? A reviewer says...."Have an outside wood furnace and it is important to keep heat flowing especially during extreme cold weather here in the northeast. Excellent product." It would be much easier to use a product that is simple to use and does what's promised.
