Double Wall

DuraPlus HTC is a double-wall, all-fuel chimney system for use in Canada. DuraPlush HTC is for use with wood stoves, fireplaces and other appliances that use wood, oil, coal or gas. DuraPlus chimney systems feature a light weight ceramic refractory material that will not shrink or cause gaps like competing chimney pipe brands that are made of mineral wool and other loose-fill insulations. DuraPlus HTC chimney venting systems have a twist-lock feature that allows you to assemble it quickly and precisely without the use of screws or rivets. DuraPlus HTC requires a 2" clearance to combustible materials.

DuraVent's Thermal Tech II Blanket insulation in DuraPlus HTC is made of light-weight ceramic refractory material. This insulation will not shrink or cause gaps like competitors’ products made of mineral wool and other loose-fill insulations. No gaps mean no hot spots to trigger fires to exterior combustibles. Encased between two stainless steel walls, the insulation maintains a barrier that will not shift or settle. The 2” wall keeps the exterior cool, while ensuring high temperatures for optimum draft performance on the inside.

DuraPlus HTC 6" & 8" Combustion Air Systems Chimney Pipe

The DuraPro Combustion Air System’s (CAS) uniquely engineered ceiling support boxes and wall thimbles deliver combustion air to free-standing wood and pellet stoves.

Improve the efficiency of central heating systems by eliminating the use of conditioned room air for combustion. DuraPlus HTC CAS wood stove systems are available in 6” and 8” chimney diameters, using system specific triple-wall connector pipe, elbows, and tees to deliver combustion air to the appliance from outside the room through the chimney penetration, eliminating the need for a separate penetration in the structure for combustion air intake. Inbound air is circulated through baffles around the heated areas of the support box or wall thimble. For DuraPlus HTC, the pre-heated air is supplied between the stove pipe’s 2nd and 3rd wall, while the 1st wall maintains high stove temperatures.

This system also enables outside air to be used as combustion air below grade and minimizes down-drafts in below grade installations. The wall thimbles for both wood and pellet stoves provide combustion air to appliances used in below grade (basement) installations, does not consume warm indoor air for combustion and is not subject to oxygen starvation, poor draft and other problems associated with ‘tight’ energy efficient homes. All products are factory finished in matte black. Made in the USA.
