8" DuraTech Chimney Pipe

DuraVent DuraTech is a double wall all-fuel chimney system with both U.S and Canadian approvals for specific applications.  8" DuraTech chimney is rated to 2100° and is tested to UL 103 HT standards.  DuraTech is for use with wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, ranges, water heaters or other appliances fueled by wood, coil, oil or gas. DuraTech chimney systems are limited for sales to certified installers only.

DuraTech 5" - 8" Chimney Pipe

With a Thermal Tech blanket insulation encased between dual walls, DuraTech offers the optimum in safety and performance. It keeps the outer wall of the chimney cool, while ensuring high flue gas temperatures for optimum draft performance.

The inner wall is 25% thicker than competitive chimneys for an extra margin of safety. No locking bands or mechanical fasteners required. DuraTech's sleek 1" wall design provides for easy installations through 16" on-center framing. Designed for normal, continuous operation at 1000° F flue gas temperatures, DuraTech is subjected to rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400° F, plus three ten minute chimney fire tests at 2100° F.

Materials and Construction 5"-8" diameter pipe features inner wall of .020" 430 stainless steel. Outer wall options of .016" 430 stainless steel or .021" galvalume steel. A Thermal Tech (ceramic refractory) blanket insulation is encased between walls. Stainless steel end rings seal the pipe. DuraTech features light weight insulation, twist-lock fittings, support boxes with factory installed starter sections, elbows with 360° swivel base, select black finish pipe lengths, and five foot length pipe sections.

DuraTech large Chimney pipe

DuraTech 10" - 24" Chimney Pipe

DuraVent now offers DuraTech in large diameters to vent large scale residential fireplaces and building heating appliances. DuraTech chimney is tested and listed for continuous operation at 1000° F flue gas temperatures, one hour at 1400° F and terminates at 1700° F, in accordance with the UL 103 test standard.

DuraTech Combustion Kit

DuraTech 6" & 8" Combustion Air Systems Chimney Pipe

The DuraPro Combustion Air System’s (CAS) uniquely engineered ceiling support boxes and wall thimbles deliver combustion air to free-standing wood and pellet stoves.

Improve the efficiency of central heating systems by eliminating the use of conditioned room air for combustion. DuraTech CAS wood stove systems are available in 6” and 8” chimney diameters, using system specific triple-wall connector pipe, elbows, and tees to deliver combustion air to the appliance from outside the room through the chimney penetration, eliminating the need for a separate penetration in the structure for combustion air intake. Inbound air is circulated through baffles around the heated areas of the support box or wall thimble. For DuraTech, the pre-heated air is supplied between the stove pipe’s 2nd and 3rd wall, while the 1st wall maintains high stove temperatures.

This system also enables outside air to be used as combustion air below grade and minimizes down-drafts in below grade installations. The wall thimbles for both wood and pellet stoves provide combustion air to appliances used in below grade (basement) installations, does not consume warm indoor air for combustion and is not subject to oxygen starvation, poor draft and other problems associated with ‘tight’ energy efficient homes. All products are factory finished in matte black. Made in the USA.
