got one-love it
We got this stove about 6 years ago It sits in the basement of our mountain house and heats our 1400 sf second floor by drafting up the stairs and by heating the floor. It will hold the house at 70+ degrees when the outside temp is in the teens.
Like all EPA stoves, it has a strong draft while burning. That also means that on cold days, you will probably have to preheat the flue and turn off your furnace so you can light it without smoking the place up. Always MAKE SURE you see flames after you put fresh wood on coals before you close the damper down. One flashback explosion in the firebox will teach you this. Otherwise, we love this woodstove and recommend it.
