Thermo-Rite Reserve Fireplace Door Stock Sizes

Follow the steps below for assistance in measuring your fireplace opening.

  • 1 - Start by measuring the width of the fireplace opening. All measurements should be to the nearest 1/16" of an inch. Measure the top and then the bottom width. If you find that your fireplace is not consistent in the measurement (wider at the bottom and narrower at the top for example) you should use the narrowest measurement. Do the same for the height, measuring both the left and right side. Again use the narrowest measurement for the height.
  • 2 - Once you have your fireplace opening measurements, use the Opening Width and Opening Height columns to locate the correct from/to measurements from the chart below to find the correct size door. (Example: Your fireplace opening dimensions measure 36 1/2" Wide x 27 1/2" High. You would select the 39" Wide x 30" High door.)

Thermo-Rite Fireplace Door Style

Thermo-Rite doors come in two distinct style options Bi-fold Tracked and Bi-fold Full Swing trackless.

Bi-fold tracked doors stay in the track when opened. Bi-fold Full Swing Trackless doors swing fully open and can lay flush with the door. Bi-fold full swing doors are more popular.

Please Note: The Bi-fold full swing trackless door is not available for doors larger than 47 1/2 inches wide.

Thermo-Rite Fireplace Door Glass Channel and Handle Finish

Optional Glass Channel and Handle finishes are also available for your fireplace door. The standard finish for glass trim and handles is the color of the frame finish selected above. You can offset or accent this enclosure's door by choosing an optional contrasting glass channel and handle finish.

Stainless Antique Chrome

Glass channel is the strip of metal attached to the top and bottom of the glass. Door handles mount directly to the top trim strip. Both the trim and handle match depending upon your selection.

The Reserve fireplace door is beautifully designed and constructed of high quality extruded aluminum which makes the Reserve enclosure exceptionally sturdy with 2 3/4" top and side panels and an 11/16" bottom panel. The Reserve fireplace door features a standard Black Anodized finish or optional baked-on lacquer finishes in Copper, Pewter, Bronze Iron, Grey Iron, Moss Iron, Natural Iron and Old Iron. Available in many stock sizes.

Glass Channel/Handle Finishes are available for the Reserve enclosure. Available Glass Channel/Handle Finishes include Stainless, Antique, and Chrome.

The door itself is what i expected, good looking and solid. However the trip which I had to order separately and is used for the blower, come in stainless steel instead of pewter as is the door. Marvin was kind enough to ship me a sprain can but kept clogging and just managed to finish painting. Just. Almost a disaster.

    • We are interested in purchasing the Reserve stock masonry fireplace door. Do the measurements refer to the outside (ie max measurements) or to the inside? Should they be larger or smaller of the actual measurements? Also, the color options are not clear since there is only one picture. Is there any way to see what all the options are?
    • Maria, Click the blue ? icons next to the selections. I think all your questions will be answered. The door measurements are specified in the ? popup. It shows overall dimensions and what fireplace sizes it will fit.
