Natural Gas Safety Pilot Valve

A safety pilot control valve adds safety and convenience to any vented gas log set. A gas control knob is used to light the pilot and ignite the burner. If the pilot goes out, the safety control will shut off stopping the flow of gas completely. When in the burning season, you will only need to light the pilot once with a match or lighter. After that you simply turn the control knob clockwise to ignite the burner. Once out of the burning season, you simply shut off the pilot. The safety pilot control valve allows you ease of use and piece of mind.

Natural Gas Safety Pilot Valve

A millivolt valve is a safety pilot system used in an appliance with a standing pilot. This unit can be used with most natural gas vented log sets. It is powered by a thermopile at the pilot assembly, which eliminates concerns of shutdowns from power outages. It has a standard on/off switch mounted on the side.

Warning;

  • Do not operate with glass doors closed, this may cause excessive heat damage to components.
  • Sunken fireplaces or fireplaces fitted with devices that restrict airflow may result in operational problems.
  • The damper stop provided with the unit must be installed to prevent full closure of the fireplace damper.
  • It is recommended that a fireplace screen be used during operation of this log set.  Always ensure the screen has adequate space to allow for the passage of combustion air into the gas log set.
  • Keep small children and animals away from the open flame of the gas log set at all times.
  • These gas logs are only to be installed in a solid fuel burning fireplace with a working flue constructed of non-combustible materials.
