works grate!

Does exactly what we needed - keeps small pieces from falling through - used about 6 times so far, and it seems very sturdy. Shipping status was never updated on order, so I had to call a couple times to get updates on status, which was a bit annoying.

Perfect!

When I first got it I thought it would melt after a few uses. So far using it for almost 2 weeks and not a thing has happened. I notice the wood is burning more completely as there is less big chunks in the ashes. Fires seem to burn longer too. Glad I got it!

Very happy with the Ember Retainer. We have had 5-6 fires thus far and the product works as advertised.

It fits perfectly on our grate, allows the embers to fall through at the perfect rate, and we no longer have the shorter logs upending and falling through. Good value for a good product.

Really helps keep those smaller pieces of wood from falling below the grate, which keeps the fire burning nicely.
