  • From David at 10/28/12 10:06 AM
    • Will this fit the Superior model, our home came with unit but no blower?
    • David, I am not sure which Superior model that you are referring to but Most superior models use a FBK-100, FBK-200, or a FBK-250 depending on which model that you have. Once you have the model number you can use the Lennox/Superior Refrence chart in any of the items listed above to determine which blower you will need.

  • From LeRoy Wiedeman at 11/9/12 8:19 PM
    • Can I install it with a thermostat control?
    • It can be done. However, most thermostats run on 24 volts or millivolts and this blower runs on 120 volts. You would either need to find a 120 volt thermostat or connect a 24 volt thermostat to a relay that would then turn on the fan. The latter is how most furnace blowers operate....Robert

    • .........what is this blower used for....?.....does it go under 24" vent-free gas logs?.....
    • This is a replacement blowerreplacement blower for a fireplace or wood stove. I would go where your current blower is not or where the manufacturer intended for a blower to go. It would not go in the firebox itself. Please check your owners manual to see if your fireplace has a spot for a blower. It will also let you know what size blower would be needed.

  • From Richard Damro at 12/8/12 10:53 PM
    • I have a Preway fireplace. The fireplace including a blower was purchased in
1978. The blower has functioned well ever since but has slowly become very, (too) noisy. The present blower fits in the space under the firebox and
is of the squirrel cage type much like the one shown. It is wired right into a
120 volt line which is controlled by a wall switch. Can a thermocouple
type of thermostat be wired into the line before it goes into the fan so that
the fan will shut off as the fireplace cools down after I retire for the night?
    • Thank you for your question. I would recommend contacting a heating and cooling specialist on this question. We can assist on our products that we are trained on. For a technical question like this on a brand we currently do not work with I would not feel comfortable providing information on.
