It's to hard controlling a bag of pellets to pour into our wood pellet stove so we bought this to solve the problem, we use a feed scoop to fill hod at the beginning of a bag of pellets and then pour bag directly in hod at last half of bag, hod allows even pouring control into hopper on the stove preventing pellets spillage on to floor surrounding stove Works Great
