The Emberair Grate Heater can be used in both wood burning and gas fireplaces. It improves fireplace efficiency up to 500% and delivers 28,000 BTU's from the fireplace. In wood burning applications just place the titanium alloy exchanger tube on the grate and build your fire right on the exchanger.
In a gas fireplace application the titanium exchanger tube simply replaces your backlog. The titanium exchanger tube measures only .005" thick and carries a full 5-year warranty. This exchanger tube is very durable even when extremely hot.
The thermally protected motor housing and the built-in thermal protection device ensure long life and has a 1 year warranty. Emberair stops 22,000 cubic feet of heated air from escaping your home when used with a glass door. Just raise your glass doors 1 3/8" so the frame can sit on the vent. Features a two-speed motor so you can control how much heat pours out. Fits firebox's with a minimum of 28" Front Width x 26" Rear Width x 19" Depth. Emberair measures 25" Front Width x 23" Rear Width x 18" Depth. The flexible tube has a diameter of 3 1/4". The standard bottom bar is 42" wide and in the black finish. Custom bars are available for $66.00. Cord measures 7 ft 4 in.

Works as described. It is hardly noticeable. It does make a small noise, and has little blowing power, but overall it takes the chill off the room and blends into the fireplace very well.
