Nice product. Heavy cast iron about 30 lbs. Does seem to make the fireplace put out quite a bit more heat when you have a nice hot fire, Not that noticeable with small fires. After a nice hot lean burning fire the fireback turns pure white. Looks really nice in the fireplace.
