Bamboo Basket

This basket contains 1 3/4 pound of color cones wrapped in a poly bag and set in a bamboo basket. Color Cones produce magical blue and green colors to appear in the orange flames of your fire. These cones are not intended to start your fire but rather be tossed into established fires for the color effect. Natural pine cones, paraffin wax, copper sulfate, and ammonium chloride are used to produce color cones. You will find most of these packages contain a mixture of different species of pine cones; pinion, loblolly, Douglas fir and sand pine. A single cone will have a color effect for about 6-8 minutes. Typically we find 1/2# of color cones will be the amount used in one evening. Color cones should only be used in wood fires including wood burning fireplaces and campfires. They should not be used in gas log fireplaces. A well established fire will completely burn up the cone and leave no residue. This basket measures 8" round x 11" high and weight 1.875 lbs.
