Just what we were looking for to use with our pellet fireplace inserts. Kinda awkward and heavy for the wife with pellets in it so we just fill it up half way and it can be carried just fine. Esy to pour using side and top handle.
This was bigger than I anticipated and looks a little silly in our small home, but it's my fault for not measuring it. It does hold a whole bag of pellets, so that's helpful. It's a nice piece.

It is very sturdy and easy to handle. And YES, it does hold the contents of a 40 lb. bag of pellets! and with room to spare. Why don't they include that information in the description? The only reason that I didn't give it a rating of Excellent is because my husband mentioned that he wished the spout was just a little longer. Another 3 on the spout would have been nice, to make loading the pellet stove that much easier.
So far, I've used the hod to pour about 1000 pounds of pellets into my pellet stove. It's the perfect size to hold 40 lbs of pellets and the handle makes it easy to lift / maneuver. It looks great sitting next to my stove.
