The 8" Magic Heat Reclaimer is a smart way to save on heating bills. Install the Magic Heat Waste Heat Reclaimer in the flue (vent pipe) of any air-tight stove, furnace, or freestanding fireplace. Exhaust heat and gases travel upward through the flue, circulating around the heat-exchanger tubes. The pre-set thermostat automatically turns the blower fan on and off when the proper temperature is reached, forcing the warmed air through the tubes and into the room while the waste gases continue up the chimney. Magic Heat is a single piece unit that quickly installs in-line with new or existing stovepipe.

For years we burned lots of wood,10 pluss cords and were still cold. Not no more. We are warm and I dont spend as much time with my chainsaw. Wife and my back love that. STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS AND BUY IT.
8 heat reclaimer installed on my 30 year old existing wood burning stove. After getting the fire burning it increased the temperature by 10 degrees F within a half hour. Keeps the basement nice and toasty.
I like it. It works well. I think it should be designed, though, with a switch that allows it to be off completely, without the thermostat kicking in and starting the fan. It would make the product more friendly to use. It does the job, otherwise.
