The Windsor Fireplace Mantel features a solid, unfinished, Asian hardwood build. It can be left unpainted and unfinished for a traditional, rustic look or stained and painted to match fireplace surroundings for a more modern fireplace setting.
The Windsor Fireplace Mantel is guaranteed to be the focal point of any room whether you choose to keep it bare and traditional or dress it up with dramatic accents such as candelabras, flower vases and portraits, or decorative, unique shaped mirrors. Holiday wreaths, garland and other holiday accents will also look great and add a world or seasonal atmosphere when placed on top of the mantel, draped from the mantel shelf, or even placed on the floor of the fireplace at either side of the mantel base.
The Windsor Fireplace Mantel not only looks gorgeous and provides beauty and aesthetics for every season, it will also disperse heat more effectively into the room. A hanger board is not included with the Windsor Fireplace Mantel. Using a hanger board is a suggested installation method and is not required. Your installer may also have additional methods for mounting the mantel.
Installation suggestion:
Add a set of matching plinths to the Windsor fireplace mantel. This will not only give it a little extra height, but also create a decorative base on the mantel. (View matching plinths in accessories above.)

Just assembled the Windsor and it is much more handsome than the pictures online. The dowelled piece under the main mantel didn't line up well protruded forward but not a problem, we glued and screwed it up instead. Thank you, a great value and beautiful.
