Flue-Renew Chimney Maintenance Fire logs - Flue-Renew fire logs contain Rutland SAFE-T-FLUE, a proprietary chimney cleaner that modifies soot and creosote in the chimney. Normally these deposits are flammable sticky, tar-like substances; however, Flue-Renew fire logs used once a month in the fire, changes the creosote into a dry, loose, non-adhering deposit which flakes away and is more easily brushed off. Use one 3 lb. Flue-Renew fire log monthly during the peak burning season to combat creosote build-up. To use simply add one 3lb fire log to the hot embers of a wood fire.
Product note: Flue-Renew fire logs are recommended as preventative maintenance between professional cleanings. The use of Flue-Renew fire logs or any chemical creosote remover does not eliminate the need for a regular professional chimney cleaning.
