The Water Glass Adhesive and Concrete Sealer is a sodium silicate solution in water, and can be used full strength as an adhesive for gasketing or for sealing cartons and applying shipping labels. It may be diluted to use as a sealer for concrete floors to prevent dusting and to prevent penetration of water, oil and other liquids. One of the original uses for Water Glass was to preserve eggs, keeping them fresh for one to three years.

To Seal Cement/Concrete Floors: Clean surface before treatment, as Water Glass will not adhere to oil or grease. Floor must not have been previously sealed or painted. Concrete must not have a sealing type admixture in it. Dilute one part Water Glass with four parts water. Mop on surface generously. Let dry for 24 hours and wipe up any puddles that remain.
Repeat two or more times to get the desired results. Previous layer must be thoroughly penetrated and dried prior to application of next layer. Water Glass will help harden surface for dust control and resist penetration by water, oils and other liquid spells.
