Replace worn or burnt-out gaskets on air-tight wood stoves, heating appliances, furnaces and fireplace inserts with Rutland's Wood stove Gasket. Grapho-Glas Rope is manufactured from textured fiberglass for high temperature sealing qualities. Black graphite impregnated fiberglass looks neater and resists sticking and creosote build-up. Although this is smaller than the one I had purchased locally, it still was slightly too big for my gasket hole. It is the best fit I have found anywhere though. My Craftsman stove is nearly 40 years old, so I really can't complain. It still works great and the gasket makes it even more airtight than before, just have to push the door a little harder to close the lock.

I used this product for my direct vent gas fireplace as a gasket between the fixed glass and firebox. It worked great, I just wish I could have gotten one about 10 feet long, as that was the total perimeter of the glass. I just bought two sets to get enough material and it worked great!
Good quality stuff, though I've not had it for more than a few burning months. I'd go small on the size if you're buying it for the first time. I measured what I had, and though it was a different type of gasket, it still was much smaller than the Grapho-Glas Rope turned out to be.
After reading the instructions on the glue and gasket packages I felt safe in giving this to my husband to repair the gasket on our very old wood stove. He scraped the old off and added a small amount of glue and cut the gasket to fit. Perfect. Very easy to do even for people who never read instructions. Good product. Thank you.
