I bought 5 sections of this 3 foot rod to clean a 13 foot by 6 stainless steel stove pipe that had two 45 degree bends next to each other about halfway up the pipe. I also purchased a heavy duty poly brush and an adaptor to connect the two. The components worked perfectly. I had earlier borrowed a kit with fiberglass rod that was unable to negotiate the 45 degree bends. It took firm pushing to get the brush down through the bends but it did go and I could clean the entire chimney from the top. The rod seemed just flexible enough to negotiate the bends and just stiff enough not to kink with fairly hard pushing. I don't think I could have pushed hard enough to work from the bottom, putting the rod up through the stove, though that probably would have worked if the chimney was straight. The rods did bend enough to feed through the stove door and up the chimney. The connectors were strong and easy to use. The rods seemed very well made.
