These brushes are made from .050" Prostran bristles which are more flexible than our heavier Poly Pro brushes. This brush is ideal for applications where greater maneuverability is needed or for use in prefab fireplaces allowing the brush to more easily pass through the damper. Also a great choice where creosote build-up is such that a regular brush is too stiff to pass down the chimney. Bristles will not harm metal chimney pipe. The spindle has a 3/4" loop on one end and 3/8" Male
NPT Thread on the other.
The 5SB-36048M 3/8" NPT brush rods will mate to the threads on this brush. You can also use the 5SB-30624M brush rods and a 5SB-36352M 1/4" NPT x 3/8" NPT .
Note: If going thru a 45 degree or more elbow, use ProFlex Rods and a female to female adaptor.

Fits exactly for the 6 pipe, does a good job.
You'll need a 3/8 to 1/4 inch adaptor to attach to the rods. We got one for a dollar at an Ace Hardware, just a 3/8 to 1/4 inch reducer, galvanized.
This brush works perfectly in our metal chimney. I ran the brush up and down the chimney with a flexible rod. We had a pile of creosote in the wood fireplace stove. It is strong and will last many years. I do the cleaning once or twice every year.
Very sturdy, very effective tool. Great value too.
I was at first uncertain if the medium duty chimney brush was going to be sturdy enough to clean the metal pipe insert in my chimney. It worked great!!
