Great for keeping little ones from touching the hot glass on a gas fireplace. Covers 100% of hot surfaces so they don't get burned. I put anchoring tabs on the top rail to firmly mount to the wall with screws so it cannot be pulled away from the fireplace easily. It now lifts like a hinge om the top giving easy access. Works great.
