If you want the hottest burning, straight heat stove, the Mountaineer Wood Burning
Stove is the perfect stove for you. It features a durable 3/16" reinforced
plate steel build lined with firebrick, and a heavy cast iron door with air washed
ceramic glass for brilliant viewing of the fire.
The air wash system consistently draws air from the top of the stove
down past the 17" x 9" ceramic glass window. This effectively prevents the
tar and soot that would normally build up, restricting your view and making
maintenance a chore.
The inside of the Performer is lined with firebricks for even greater
burning efficiency. The purpose of the firebrick is multifaceted:
It helps to insulate the stove so that there is less unintended
heat loss from the unit, allowing the heat to be distributed as desired.
Firebricks hold up well to extreme temperature changes and possess
low thermal conductivity making them an excellent choice for aiding
in the efficiency and longevity of your stove.
Gives the stove an aesthetically pleasing appearance while not in
operation.
In short, a firebrick-lined firebox is key for burning efficiency.
The Mountaineer holds an abundance of wood and will accept logs up to 22" long,
with it's 23" wide x 14" deep firebox, thereby allowing it to burn for hours on
a single load of wood heating up to 2,000 square feet with a 104,000 BTU rating.
This pedestal model wood stove is coated with a satin black finish and trimmed
with pewter accents to enhance any hearth setting.
The Mountaineer Wood Stove includes an adjustable high speed (100 CFM) blower
to direct warm air into the room for added comfort and warmth. The stove is loaded
from the front through a cam-lock door latch that tightly secures the gasketed feed
door. The firebox is lined with firebrick and spacious enough to accommodate logs
up to 22" in length. The Mountaineer features a large ash pan that is tucked
underneath the stove and slides out with ease for quick and easy ash removal.
Although the Mountaineer Wood Stove is built for heavy-duty use, it is very flexible
and serves many other functional purposes. A simple pot of water or steamer set
on the top of the wood stove will humidify your home and just a splash of stove
scents added to that water will fill your cabin with delightful aroma. Some assembly
required.
Not only will the Performer completely satisfy your heating needs, it
can also act as a humidifier when accompanied by a water steamer! Simply

We bought this woodstove last year and we love it. It's a great price for what your getting I works so well we used it everyday and night to keep the house warm. It also didn't take long for it to be delivered from the date of purchase. Great product and customer service.
We love this stove. Easy to assemble and a great value! Keeps our 1000 sq ft home toasty in the Colorado Mountains. The electric fan is the cheapest, noisiest thing and quite frankly diminishes the value of an excellent stove. Had a quality and quiet fan been sold with it, this would easily be the most sought after stand alone woodstove in the marketplace.
Excellent product. First wood stove so it is VERY different from a conventional fireplace. Not high tech like newer models available but we had it professionally installed in the summertime it looked really nice and the entire unit & flue immediately drafted and put out a good deal of heat immediately. Very impressed with how it worked and even professional installers had positive comments on the quality for the price. We have not yet used it for our first winter but we certainly have a good expectation if it worked this well with how it operated immediately after install. I urge you to use extreme caution and absolute attention when around a hot and dangerous fireplace or wood stove!
this stove is great...it took us only a few hours to install it...and it works GREAT!!!! i would reccomed this to anyone that wants to save $$$$ on their electric/gas bill...we absoutly love it 0
My husband and I really love this wood stove. We bought it in November 2009 and it has paid for itself. We recently was attacked with a snowstorm and single digit wind chills for a week and it kept us warm. Plus we have a infinite supply of trees to cut down for firewood. Our dogs even love it. Nice and cozy plus relaxing to watch.
