The Better Barrel has a real wood grain look, but is constructed of recycled plastic, that will not rot or mildew. This planter is unbreakable, and it will not dry out, fall apart, splinter or smell. It has solid, thick walls that withstand freezing, thawing and heating, yet it's 1/3 the weight of a wood barrel.
Raised feet keep the bottom up to help prevent surface stains. There are indented drainage knock outs and carbon steel bands that will rust and give it a more authentic look. This multipurpose barrel is great for holding water gardens, ice, kegs and dirt.
I have not used it yet but it was delivered sooner than expected. Like the looks and will be planting in it in the near future.
