This is not a direct replacement as indicated. The blower is smaller in diameter, almost half the wheel size. The fan spins at half the speed as the original so the fan will not blow enough air for a room indicated when you bought it. The mount on the fan does not meet the part in the furnance where it shoots the air through the fireplace and blows out. There is a 1 inch gap where the old one they touched. This is alot cheaper then an original$300 but after this is broekn i will go back to the orginal. It does Mount the orginal backer and hooks up relatively easy. If you use this fan as a secondary heat or for th ambiance of a fireplace this fan is fine but if like me this is the only heat source in a room then this blower may not be sufficient for you.
