We have a stream running through our property. The stream develops stagnant little pools throughout it, which, in turn, attracts breeding mosquitoes.
Mosquito Barrier is our solution for this issue, and it works great. We use it according to the directions, and it clears the little buzz bombs right out of the creek and off our property as well.
I highly recommend this product for mosquitoes. It doesn't harm our stream; and since our property is also wooded, it goes a long way in helping us enjoy our summers.
All Hype as far as I'm concerned
I was suckered into buying this garlic juice by all the good reviews here and on Amazon dot com at the time.
It did ABOSLUTELY nothing to kill or repel mosquitos for me on my property, but I loved the smell. I thought my wife was making fun of me and the product when she said she kept getting bit, but her legs looked like she was a piece of button candy, you know, that candy stuck onto a strip of paper. OK, enough with me making jokes about it. It is one big, big waste of money and time and energy. I applied it at double strength, which the label says is OK to use it at. There were mosquitos flying all around me as I was spraying the stuff. I felt like I was in complete control as I was spraying it, wiping them out of existence on contact. Boy was I wrong! I paid 81 bucks for a gallon of this stuff with shipping. I used half a gallon of it already. The label says it is effective for up to 5 acres at normal dosage, but I have only 1/3 acre of property and did 4 applications. I didn't work out the math on this, but I completely drenched every plant, blade of grass and ground on my property. Maybe I did more than double dosage rate. It did not kill any plants, vegetables butterflies or animals, which is great, but the mosquitos? not them either. What a big, big disappointment. I think anybody that wrote a good review on this stuff must still believe in the tooth fairy.
If your curiosity makes you still wants to try it yourself, do yourself a big favor and buy just a quart to start, then YOU decide if you want more.
This is not even, in my opinion worth ONE star. Although, I love the smell of garlic
Works great - Love it!
We have battled mosquitoes for years, but this works great! Only complaint I have is the bottle - it spills every time we pour it. We have tried funnels, but nothing has worked. We waste quite a bit just from that. BUT, the product is amazing!!!
Our yard is 1/3 acre and mosquitos and gnats are terrible. You can't go out for even a minute without smacking and waving constantly. After spraying heavily, you can go out and enjoy with only a few bugs here and there. I reapply when they come back. Really depends on many factors (amount of rain, humidity, heat, time of year, etc.) so reapply as needed. It does smell like you live next to a garlic bagel factory, which I love, but others might not. Beats the smell of insect repellent and other things. Highly recommend. Am curious to try the addition of 1 to 1 veg. oil and spray to increase time between spraying.
This stuff is fantastic
The smell goes away very quickly - we spray every few weeks, as needed, in a wooded area around an open gazebo. NO MORE CO TANKs or harmful chemicals. Such a relief!
I found this product after a long online search for something safe. Some towns in Connecticut are using this for parks - environmentally friendly and so effective. Good for dogs and kids. Bad for mosquitos.
(Interesting suggestion by previous reviewer to add some veg oil to promote adhesion. Will try that.
Interesting fact- mosquitos are local populations - you only need to control the area of your yard you use.
So far, awesome!
I am starting with 4 stars - I just applied the barrier this evening. We were immediately able to sit on the deck for about an hour at dusk. I just got home from grocery shopping and brushed the heavy bushes in the back - NOTHING came out! So far this is amazing. I'll update in a couple of days.
seems to have little impact
our backyard is like a bar to 22 year old mosquitos. They come out with all their friends and find unsuspecting humans to drink unlimited amounts of blood. This is a problem we must solve if we want to go outside our screens and not take baths in deet.
We bought a gallon of this stuff, a small yard, apply once every other week, summer should be better. 3 applications later, we seem to have minimal success. We spray it on tree branches, our house, fences, decks, grass, everywhere!
The smell is there for a couple days- oh yeah it does have a strong smell, but isn't bad. The first day after spraying we get the sense there are less bugs, I notice one or two, but not a party. By the 3rd day, it is back to normal. Smell is gone, and mosquitos are in full thirst mode. I went out to pick up a few things in the yard (even had bugspray on my legs) and ended up with 10 bites in just a few minutes. To me that isn't the sign of a working product.
I am not sure if this matters, but we live in the Raleigh, NC area with a good amount of woods. The humidity might be a factor, maybe the type of mosquitos. Onto the next experiment.
great and safe product
been using for over 5 years on commercial and residentual properties, i have never had one complaint, if its not working your not applying it right. there isnt any product that will keep 100% away from you, but this is pretty close.
I used this in my yard Memorial weekend and July 4th weekend, my husband was skeptical when I told him about it, but he saw that it worked. It did not get rid of all the bugs, but it defiantly reduced them to just a few. I love it and so does he.
We live in Northern Michigan and are surrounded by woods. I was getting a little tired of not being able to sit out by the bonfire or even on my deck without being carried away by mosquitoes so I started looking around and I found this mosquito barrier. I was a little skeptical of it at first so I just bought the quart however after the first time of using it I was sold 100%. It didnt get rid of all the mosquitoes however it took the vast majority of them away. I can actually sit outside and not be constantly smacking my arms and kicking my legs now and that is great. I have even bought this to take camping with us. I mix it up at home and once we get to the campsite prior to setting up camp I get out and spray all over the campsite, I have even sprayed neighboring campsites if they are not there yet. I did find though on years that the mosquitoes are just unbearable I just double the amount of barrier I use to the same amount of water and I have my miracle stuff back.
I'm certain that Mosquito Barrier has helped reduce mosquitoes, but it is hard to quantify how much. We still have some mosquitoes, perhaps coming from neighboring yards. I guess time and repeat applications will tell. As for ticks the main reason I applied it, since my second perimeter application and full lawn application we haven't found a tick on our kids previously we'd found several. Again, time and repeat applications will tell how truly effective it is.
This product is effective at reducing the mosquito population, not eliminating it. I have used it for several years in a mosquito infested area and have been happy with it
been using for along time, very good if used properly..

Great product! I live in a heavily wooded area and the mosquito problem is unbearable. I used this product according to the instructions but added an equal ammount of veg oil to promote adhesion. The result was amazing - NOT ONE MOSQUITO or any other flying insects for that matter! After two weeks now, I notice some mosquitos, so I plan to re-aply tonight.
We are having a wonderful summer. No Mosquitos! We have been using products from your store for 4-5 yrs and they have helped keep the mosquito population down every year but one and that year it rained every day during June and July.
this item does work... I just need to reapply it every 2 weeks or so.!! I would recommend this product!
I don't think it worked very well - we still had mosquitoes after drenching everything

First of all, I'd like to rate Northline Express. Absolutely the best online store I have ever dealt with. The people were knowledgeable, well spoken, and prompt in every way. They returned phone calls, and got a manufacturer involved with a defective product's problem resolution. I ended up returning the other product without a hitch. These folks are a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Oh yeah! The Mosquito Barrier worked like a charm.

Best non-toxic mosquito repellant option out there...Works great just not as long a period of time as they say it does. We use it before every party/outdoor event and it really does the trick.

I was skepictal at first when we purchased this product thinking maybe we were wasting our money, but....it worked great... We have a permanent campsite up in Ludington and after all the heavy rains in June, the mosquitos were so thick that they hung on the doors and side of the trailer... We followed the directions and added dish soap and canola[??]oil. Shortly after spraying the mosquitos started disappearing. Our neighbor came over and asked us what we were spraying because he noticed that there were less mosquitos by his place now too....We gave him the sprayer and let him do his lawn... Its been about 3 weeks and there are a few around now and then but -nothing like they were. We recommended it to other people and I know they purchased it from you also recently...thanks again
I sprayed about an acre on 7/13 and the mosquito's are still very minimal. We had a family reunion for 4 days last weekend and there were numerous comments and questions about what we used to get rid of the mosquito's. I'll definitely use the product again.

I used in on our 20 acre property in Indiana near the Wabash River. We typically have terrible mosquito problems most of the spring and summer. We mix the product with neem oil and use it on the yard, near the house, on our fruit trees and on the shade trees mostly white pines. While this product did not repel every single mosquito, it significantly reduced the problem. Instead of being swarmed by hundreds every time we go outside, we are now only bothered with a dozen or so, usually less. This is a BIG improvement.
I took some on vacation in early June to visit relatives in Louisiana surprisingly, not near the mosquito problem there as at our place in IN. I found the same thing there...not complete control, but significantly better. We noticed that the roaches do not care for the product when mixed with neem oil. We found several dead ones IN the house the day after we sprayed UNDER the house many of the houses in LA are on blocks or pylons so as not to be in contact with the ground...makes a great place for various pests to hang out.
The bottom line is, I'm glad this product exists. It's not perfect but it makes a great BIG difference. Besides being pretty efective, there are no toxic chemical or DEET concerns and we really appreciate that.

This is a great product! It's natural, easy to use and economical. And best of all, it really works! Mosquitoes head for the neighbors yards after I apply Mosquito Barrier.
I tried everything on the market from pesticides to big expensive mosquito traps and nothing worked to stop the Georgia mosquitoes until I tried Mosquito Barrier. I've used it for 3 years now and we've been mosquito free ever since! YES, mosquito FREE!

We have tested this product and it really works. The day before our test we could not enjoy the outdoors due to mosquitoes. After spraying the Mosquito Barrier, there were virtually no mosquitoes which allowed the outdoor party to be a success. We give this product a 5-star rating!
