Both the Skeeter Vac SV3100 and the Skeeter Vac SV5100 are cordless mosquito traps that create their own power to energize the powerful fan on the trap. Skeeter-Vac traps are able to do this by converting propane into electricity during a catalytic conversion process. Warm CO2 is created as a by-product of the conversion process which also adds to the effectiveness of the SkeeterVac's innovative design. CO2 is a very effective mosquito attractant and when it is released from the mosquito trap along with moisture and heat, high catch rates are practically a guarantee.

TacTrap Capture

SkeeterVac mosquito traps provide two different capture methods to kill mosquitoes. The sticky TacTrap on the outside of the SkeeterVac uses color contrasts to lure mosquitoes in. Even if mosquitoes don't get close enough to the fan to be sucked into the mosquito trap, they will collect on the sticky TacTrap where they eventually dehydrate and die. The innovative TacTrap makes the SkeeterVac even more effective at attracting, trapping, and killing mosquitoes.

WaveDrawer

The SkeeterVac SV3100 and the SkeeterVac SV5100 have a patent-pending WaveDrawer and the top of the mosquito trap. By simply turning a dial, the Skeetervac adjusts to outdoor environments with 5 different settings that allow you to attract mosquitoes with lesser or greater amounts of octenol or Lurex3. LED Lighting

SkeeterVac trap models use a 5-color "motion" lighting system to attract and trap mosquitoes. The LED motion lighting on the Skeeter Vac allows the trap to attract a variety of species including the Asian Tiger mosquito, by creating a motion effect over a 360 degree area.

Lurex3 Compatible

Skeetervac mosquito traps use a variety of different attractants to attract, trap, and kill mosquitoes. Aside from CO2, heat, and moisture, SkeeterVac traps use octenol and Lurex3. Octenol simulates human breath to lure mosquitoes to the trap and Lurex3 protects against mosquito bites from hard to catch, aggressive day biters like the Asian Tiger mosquito. Both octenol and Lurex3 are released from the Skeeter Vac using the FineTune BaitBlock system which increases bait life for up to 60 days of protection from a single cartridge.
