This hand held remote control is perfect for anyone using a gas fireplace as a heat source. It Features a 7 day (5/2) programmable thermostat so you can set your fireplace to turn on and off on it's own. A countdown timer allows you to set a given time for the fire to burn before shutting down. A childproof feature makes operating the fireplace impossible without entering a code first. A thermo-safety shut down transmitter prevents overheating. This remote includes everything you need to install including an on/off remote control, signal indicator, L bracket for easy mounting, a wall holster and wiring. Batteries included as well. For use with most gas fireplaces or gas logs equipped with a millivolt gas valve.

    • Could a non handy man install with out to much difficulty?
    • The installation of this item involves reconnecting the gas line from the valve to your log set, reconnecting the pilot assembly, and running the wire for the thermostat down a wall, through the fireplace, and too the valve. Basically it is designed for a heating/cooling person to install or a person with fairly good handyman skills. If you don't have these skills then you could call out a heating & cooling professional to install it for you....Robert
