    • Can this log lighter be used with Propane gas?
    • This log lighter is designed for natural gas. The difference is this; Natural gas is lighter than air so it will rise whereas propane is heavier than air and it will sink. Here's the problem; Unburned natural gas will tend to go up your chimney and vent outside. Propane will sink and "pool up" in low areas and can therefore be more dangerous than natural gas. Also these log lighters are connected to a manual valve (sold separately) and if accidentally turned on can be a very dangerous situation. It is not recommended to use a log lighter connected to a propane gas source for these reasons....Robert

    • Can this single burner be used in vented wood fireplace ,coverd with decorative blue glass , connected to natural gas
    • Thank you for your question. Yes, this burner can be used with the glass. We recommend not filling the glass over 2" above the burner. This can create a gas buildup in the pipe.
