  • At present time i have a Vermont Casting defiant free standing wood stove that has been destroyed. it measures 25 7/8 x 27 x 22 3/8 w. It is rated at 45,000btu according to manual. I need to replace this unit with something equal or better to maintain heating of my home. What would be your recommendation?
  • The Napoleon 1100CP-1 Wood Stove is a great stove and very similar to your old Vermont Castings Defiant in quality. The output is 55,000 BTUs so it's a bit more than your old wood stove which should be fine. The other similar models from Napoleon are also good choices and very close to what you had, maybe better. Another option is this model; Napoleon 1100CN although it is a bit more costly....Robert
