    • What is the difference between the Galvanized & Stainless Steel Pipe?
Why does the Stainless Steel do that makes it "better"?
    • Mickey, Stainless steel chimney pipe is recommended if your chimney is going to be exposed to the elements. The stainless steel pipe is going to maintain its appearance when exposed to rain or snow and will not rust. It is acceptable to use galvanized chimney pipe up until you pass through your roof and then use stainless steel pipe as long as you are using the same brand. Galvanized pipe will perform just as well as stainless steel pipe but requires a bit more maintenance when it comes to maintaining the appearance. Using a high temp paint can help with rusting. If you are looking for a good looking hands free approach to your chimney I would recommend using stainless steel class A pipe at least above the roof where it will be exposed to the elements.
