  • Is the damper handle the sliding push handle on the side of the stove. Is the damper closed when the knob is pushed in as far as it goes toward the stove
  • Thank you for your question. The damper is on the front of the stove. The damper is closed if the knob is pushed all the way in.

  • What is the purpose of the metal rods inside the stove? They get very red and become engulfed in flames and the wood just sets in the coals while the fire is at the top of the stove coming out those metal rods. Is this normal?
  • Thank you for your question. If I am understanding your question correctly these are the secondary tubes that help keep the firebox hot and circulate the heat.
