    • Is the graphic correct when it shows the air going in at the motor and out the opposit side? I need the hot air to come out on the left side as looking at the fireplace. So I should get the motor on the right side? I have electric sockets on both sides so the cord placement is not a problem.
    • Thank you for your question. The Cozy Grate heater has a left hand motor option or the right hand motor option. This will be as your facing the fireplace. The side that the motor is on will be the side that the cord comes out. The right hand is the most popular option and the left hand motor is a special order piece.

    • My glass doors have slots all along the front edge. They are about a quarter inch wide, two inches tall and spaced half an inch apart. Could I let a grate heater blow through these slots? The door frame assembly is very tight and I can't raise it.
    • Thank you for your question. The frame of the glass door will need to be raised to accommodate the bottom trim bar of the cozy grate heater . To avoid blowing smoke into the room the trim bar should be flush with the fireplace opening.

    • I have a fireplace screen with glass doors that attaches to the front of the fireplace. The bottom frame is 2" high, wouldn't that interfere with the airflow?
    • Mike, Yes, if you were to put the cozy grate into the fireplace with out elevating the door it would interfere with the air flow. You would need to make sure that you would be able to elevate your existing glass fireplace door 1 3/8". For installation you would remove your fireplace insert the Cozy Grate Heater and then preposition the glass door on top of the riser bar. This will elevate the glass door 1 3/8".

    • can his unit be used with Heatlator model st-42A see through wood burning fireplace
    • The Cozy Grate can be used in a see-thru fireplace but it isn't designed specifically for it. The heat will only blow out the front of one side. I haven't seen a fireplace heater specifically for a see-thru fireplace....Robert
