Replacement Vestal Damper Plate 36" - For old, rusty, warped, or missing damper plates we have replacement Vestal Damper Plates. It doesn't matter if the old Vestal Damper has poker or rotary controls, in a matter of minutes you can easily slide out the defective plate and slide in a replacement plate. The large hole in the damper allows installation of a rotary control. The smaller hole is used to run a wire through and fasten the damper controls to the damper body. This plate fits the 36" Vestal Cast-Iron Fireplace Damper.

Perfect

I got an estimate for 650.00 to replace the damper door on my fireplace. Not having to deal with this in the past, I assumed that was reasonable. Out of curiosity, I called Vestal and they directed me here.... For just over 40.00, I purchased the damper door and the poker style control w/ L bracket. I installed it myself in 10 minutes and it fit perfect on my 40 year old damper. As if they were manufactured together.... I'm very happy.

    • we measured the opening where the missing plate was and came up with 30 inches by 5 inches. what size plate should we be ordering?
    • Thank you for your question. The closest size for lining up is the 36" replacement damper plate. The depth is 7" I would recommend measuring your throat damper frame to assure this will overlap properly.
