My ordering experience of the Cast Iron Deer Fireback was excellent. The person at the order desk was very helpful. My order arrived a few days before Christmas and was in perfect condition. This was a gift to my son and he is very happy with it. I would definitely order from Northline Express again.

The Deer Fireback is great. It reflects heat from the fire which lets the fireplace provide some heat into the living room instead of just being pretty. And it also is protecting the bricks behind the fire. It is also very nice looking when there is no fire.

We were not sure we would like it but our masonry man suggested it because we burnt our fireplace so much and so hot. Now that we have been using it we love it, the heat throws off into the room and is very pretty to look at. I would highly recommend it. Your company was excellent to deal with also. really works. i purchased the largest fireback my fireplace would hold, used the recommended pair of feet, and was absolutely amazed at how much heat was reflected back into my family room. we has a toasty warm thanksgiving, and i even believe the chestnuts roasted more rapidly.
my fireplace opening is not raised, and since i always lay a fire in readiness, my view of the fireback design is mostly obscured .... but i am content in knowing how lovely my deer design is. also ash tends to accumulate on the fireback but this may be only from the breaking in process.
i love northline express's customer service staff. they are friendly, caring and conscientious. a big thank you to them!

This back is at such a reasonable price for the size and quality you can't go wrong. Cast Iron backs are like having a single sided wood stove in your home, there slow to heat up and slow to cool down. But once they get hot, and you keep your screen curtains open, prepare to be cooked out. Also recommend using a forward protruded screen front/stand over curtains to allow more heat from thermal waves to circulate back into room thru opening along the top instead of being held in firebox by curtains.

I am thrilled with the backplate, it's beautiful. Unfortunately, living in Southern California we haven't had but one opportunity to use our fireplace, but really looking forward to many soon. Your service was fast, and communications of shipment was helpful. I will be returning for other products soon. Thank you for quality service a rarity today.
