Seriously? Not one review below four stars. Not one criticism?
At least half of these reviews must be fake. Not helpful.
Robert's Comment: We post every review whether good or bad...unless it is obscene or totally off subject. These reviews are all real. This is a great product.

I would recommend this product to anyone that ever needs to start a fire. In the house, at a camp, or even a smoker. I have used mine in all 3 locations. Just pour a half cup of kerosene in it for dried wood or just fill it to the top with kerosene for green wood. It will start any wood. It's the greatest thing ever invented. After you fill it just put some ash in it or some bark on top of it for easy lighting. After the first fire just take your shovel and push the ash off the top flat then pour in the kerosene and light. It is very simple. BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD.

This is the same unit that others charge two or three times more. It last me about two seasons and is exactly what I need to start the fire in my fire place. Excellent service and product. I have bought this product for over 10 years.

Bought one of these years ago for myself and love it. This one was for a gift and she says it beats any other method she has ever used to start fires!

This is a wonderful invention and we have already saved a lot of money because there is no need now to purchase the expensive fire starters. One tip is to simply scrape the dead ash level w/the Firestarter and then saturate remaining ash with fluid. It does burn long enough to catch the larger pieces of wood ablaze and we recommend it to anyone who uses a fireplace.

Bought this item because my gas starter was not working and I knew it would be a while before I could get my plumber out to fix it. Internet ordering was easy, delivery was fast, and the product works great. It burns for several minutes and makes it so easy to get the firewood going. Just keep the ashes in there for the next time you need to light the fireplace. Great product.

I have found the trick to starting the kerosene is to leave a little ash in the starter. It will soak up the kerosene and makes it very easy to light. Our starter has worked wonderfully for many years!

It's an imposing gadget at a good price.
I'm not yet able to get it started easily=
combination of how to and how much kerosene, arranging logs etc.I think that practice will take care of that. I recommend the vendor.

first product was shipped incorrectly and ceramic insert was broken on delivery. Your customer service person was very apologetic and sent out a new one immediately, it is great.
