Outdoor electronic bug zappers are simple, affordable solutions to making your backyard more enjoyable. Using proven ultraviolet light technology, bug zappers attract and eliminate a wide range of flying insects. For areas up to 1 acre the UV40 bug zapper will greatly reduce the annoyance of these backyard pests.

The UV40 features a rugged, weatherproof outer enclosure that prevents children, pets and wildlife from contacting zapping grid. Unlike other bug zappers that rely on ultraviolet light as the sole attractant, the UV15 showcases two attractants. The first attractant the UV40 has is a high intensity 40-watt ultraviolet white light that draws the mosquitoes and other insects to the zapper.

The UV40 also has an integrated cartridge designed for the NOsquito Octenol Lure. There is no assembly required and the UV40 plugs into any 120v outlet. The zapper has no tanks or bags, so this means no mess. The UV40 also includes a free NOsquito octenol to get you started. These bulbs have an average life of 1000 hours and should be replaced annually to maintain optimal UV effectiveness.

I purchased one of these and it really zapped a lot of bugs!! However, it does tend to get clogged up very quickly. I literally have to clean it out daily!

We really like the Stinger. It traps lots of mosquitoes. The only drawback is that it's not that easy to clean.
