vogelzng durango...Crap... Don't buy
Had this for 3 months, started falling apart. Since I was dumb enough to buy this in the spring, by the time I used it it was considered a year old. Company refused to replace any broken part. Less than 2 years old now bricks have fallen out, blower won't work. Waste of money, poor customer service.
Robert's Comment: If you need parts we can get you most anything you need or alternatively you can contact Vogelzang for replacement parts. Bricks aren't warrantied but are inexpensively replaced. Blowers should last longer and usually do. Again, we can get you any part you need. As for customer service; you might have caught us in a busy time of year and perhaps a newer CSR helped you (or didn't in your case), and I apologize for that. December is a tough month with all the holiday buying. Give us another call and ask for Kathy, Walea, Linda, or Danielle.

Great Stove!
I bought this stove to lower my heating bill. My house has a propane furnace and I spent about 3000.00 last year in propane. I have a log house, 28 x 32 with a basement, main floor, and loft and a gambrel (barn) type roof. That's about 1800 square feet and another 300 in the loft. I was hoping to cut my heating bills in half with the Durango in the basement. (the basement was not heated before I put the stove in). So far, I have cut my propane use by about 75% and the house is much more comfortable. The stove will heat all night and there are still hot coals in the morning when I reload the stove. On very cold nights the propane furnace will kick in, but not for very long. This stove is very well made, EPA approved, and a great bargain at around 800.00. It will easily pay for itself in less than one heating season.

very impressed
I have been burning wood for heat for 40 years and this is the best stove i have ever had. Starts easy, heats up quickly ,and no smoke out the door when i load it up.I don't have to cut my wood short and holds a fire longer than any of the other stoves i have used..

Happy with stove
Stove works well. Good heat and wood burn. Not sure about length of burn since I am breaking in the stove. Appears the be very good. Delivery went well and I was glad I ordered the curbside option. l don't consider it an issue but I have a slight issue with heating chimney to create draft when first lighting.

This stove is awesome. I bought this stove for a friend to replace his old antique stove. This stove burns so much better and will save a lot of my time as I won't have to cut so much wood this year. The efficiency is unbelievable and I may be purchasing another to replace my old stove.
