This was a very pleasant shopping experience. The product actually arrived sooner than the estimated time. The quality of the unit is first class and we are very pleased with it. Although we would have preferred to buy it locally at several stores, their prices were much higher than yours was even with your S&H charge. Moreover, this unit was purchased for a 40-year-old fireplace! Although we had misgivings about purchasing it on-line and unseen, we went ahead and did it and are very, very happy that we did. Keep up the good work.

This is a top-quality, well-crafted replacement for my burnt-out, steel ash dump that saw its last days. Cast iron is the only way to go. It will last the remaining life of the house. Highly recommended!

I thought it would be very difficult to find a replacement for a 50 year old ash dump. It's pretty much an exact replacement. It's not quite as heavy duty as the old one, but it's pretty darn close. It was also a good price. I'm very satisfied.

The ash dump is fine, but it is slightly larger than the opening in
the fireplace floor, therefore I will have to make some adjustments in order for it to fit the opening.

There just isn't much to say about a cast iron ash dump door. We needed to replace the old one. This one was close enough in size to fit the opening and it works fine.
